Print / View Assessor Map Image Files
From the Windows START button; pick PROGRAMS, then ACCESSORIES, and then IMAGING. This will start the Kodak/Wang Imaging program included with Windows. You may also use any image viewer capable of reading TIFF images.
Once you are in the Imaging Application select OPEN from the FILE drop-down menu. Choose the file you wish to View/Print, and then pick OPEN. Once the map is open, you can set the application to have the maps open automatically to their full size. To do so, in the drop down menu, select TOOLS, then GENERAL OPTIONS. In the dialog box choose your setting using the selection down arrow. FIT TO WIDTH seems to work well for the Assessor’s Maps.
To PRINT a copy of a map from the Image file, select PRINT from the FILE drop-down menu. In the dialog box, highlight the desired printer or Plotter. Please be aware that each image file has a thumbnail image imbedded within it. For this reason, when you print, the printing application will show the file as being 2 pages. In order to print only the regular map and not the thumbnail, select the CURRENT PAGE in the page range option. Use the TABS at the top of the dialog box to change your printing options.
We recommend using the FIT TO PAGE print option at all times, as this will ensure that the page will not be clipped. The 11x17 Assessor Maps were scanned to the paper edge, but most printers have a minimum margin that they can print to. If you need to have the map printed to scale, then use the ACTUAL SIZE print option. Please be aware that the edges may be clipped if you do so.
